The Yun-Chia-Nan Environmental Education Regional Center is responsible for project implementation in the following four regions: Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Chiayi City, and Tainan City. The central operational framework of our current project is based on the five major tasks of the “EE Capacity Project”: professional leadership, empowerment program, technology assistance, research and evaluation, and partnership promotion. Under the guidance of the Environmental Protection Administration of the Executive Yuan, the Yun-Chia-Nan Environmental Education Regional Center plays an important role in integrating resources and people from industry, government, academia, institutions, and private organizations in the Yun-Chia-Nan region. Our goals are to develop partnership with various organizations in order to establish professional learning communities and promote environmental education with our partners. We are working together with different communities and non-governmental organizations in order to integrate communication horizontally among different organizations and to promote our ideas vertically to everyone in the society. We aim to build engaging local networks according to different goals in different steps of the projects. We have establish databases of partner organizations with local features so that our project can reach more people in different groups of the society and we can form partnership with more organizations and groups. We also have training programs for young experts in environmental education, so that we can strengthen our connections among universities, communities and businesses. We want to bring young students to the forefront of environmental education. And in doing so, we hope that the long-term fruit of our environmental education work can have an accumulative effect in promoting circular economy within communities in this region. Our ultimate goal is to develop the spirit of environmental sustainability within this region.
